Everyone Needs a Copy Editor (Episode 1)

Welcome to a new feature on Unquiet Time: Everyone Needs a Copy Editor. This long-overdue feature strives to point out glaring errors in large and/or public fonts.  Please, keep yourself and whatever business you work for from appearing here. Let’s get started.

Today’s offender: Chicago Midway Airport

Sighting: October 26, 2009

Offense: Converting a verb to a possessive– a bold maneuver which apparently is popular in Chicago, as we also saw a store named “Joe Buy’s Gold.”
